Happy Birthday Clapham PiONEERs. We are proud to say that Clapham PiONEERs Running Club is now 2 years old. We set up the running club back in August 2009 and its has continued to grow from strength to strength. We now have over 200 members and counting. We will be celebrating very soon, so watch this space. For more information on our run club, why not join our mailing list. You can do this on the homepage.

Charity Run – TONIGHT!!

Yes.. its still on. Come rain or shine, Clapham PiONEERs Running Club has organised a charity run to raise money for those affected by the Clapham riots last week. The run is tonight (Tuesday 23rd August 2011).

Please get involved with this so we can raise as much money as possible. It would be brilliant to show what great community spirit we have here in Clapham. Please tell all your friends, family, work colleagues etc.

All money raised will go straight to the Wandsworth Community Safety Trust who have agreed to have a segregated account to help with this and future emergencies. Please feel free to make any additional donations through Charities Aid Foundations (CAF). Simply search charity number 1134355 or Wandsworth Community Safety Trust.

RACE INFORMATION

DATE	23rd August 2011
ROUTE	3.2 miles / 5.2 km
REGISTER	To register please arrive at the PiONEERs shop (34 Old Town, Clapham, SW4 0LB) at 18:15 onwards. Here you will need to collect your run number and bag number (if you’re storing bag).
ENTRY FEE	There will be a £5 minimum fee (cash or cheques only) to take part in this event. Anything extra will be greatly appreciated. Please pay this at the registration desk.
BAG STORAGE	To store your bag will cost £1. You can pay this at the registration desk as well.
START	The run will start from 19:00 from the green next to the church (also where bag store is). We will be staggering groups so late comers very welcome, registration will still be open.
FINISH	At the PiONEERs store.
AFTER	Post run refreshments from 20:00 onwards. Details to be announced soon. If you can’t make the run please still come and donate money over a pint instead!! To help us gauge numbers please register your interest for this event via our Facebook event page ‘PiONEERs Charity-Run’.

The 26th June 2011 see’s the 4th annual Ian Slee run. Traditionally it has always just been Looe PiONEERs and friends who have taken part but this year we want to encourage new faces and see a big turn out from Clapham PiONEERs.

A great excuse for a summer weekend away in Cornwall come down for the weekend and take part in the 7 mile run along the coast path that Ian used to do every morning to get to work. Running along one of the most beautiful stretches of the Cornish coastline regardless of the weather it’s an amazing run. At the finish line you’ll find marquees, music, beer, and a well earned rest. It’s official! Race Night

It’s official! Race Night has started. Check out our Running Club page for all members times. This is going to be the first Tuesday of every month and is really just a bit of fun, but also a great way to see if you can improve on your last time. It is going to be the same 5 mile route each month (See link). The rules are no self timing, no short cuts and PiONEERs vests must be worn at all times!
